How to install/enable Cisco WebEx Meetings Desktop App (formerly WebEx Productivity Tools)
What is the Cisco WebEx Meetings Desktop App?
Cisco has replaced WebEx Productivity Tools with the Cisco WebEx Meetings Desktop app. The Cisco WebEx Meetings Desktop App allows you to schedule, start, and join meetings quickly without going to your WebEx site. This can be done using the WebEx Meetings Desktop app or within Outlook simply select the WebEx icon to add a WebEx meeting to your Microsoft Outlook calendar invitation. The Windows version also supports integration with other programs, such as IBM Lotus Notes, Microsoft Office Communicator, Microsoft Lync, and so on.
To get this software, you will need to download it from the Download tab on https://webex.duke.edu/

- Login using the Duke Health Login or Duke University Login
- Go to 'Downloads' at the bottom left
- Select 'Download' to being the installation of the Cisco WebEx Meetings Desktop App
- During this time you will want to save any unfinished work within Outlook and close out the program
- Once the download finished, go ahead and run the installer
- Once the installer finishes, it will prompt for your email and a site URL
- Use your netid@duke.edu for your email and dukeuniversity.webex.com or dukemed.webex.com for the site URL
- Once this processes, a login will popup requesting your login information: NetID and password
- After the window disappears, you will be able to use the WebEx Meetings app or open Outlook and view the WebEx icon in the top toolbar
